    Open Vice QR. Camera access is only needed for live scanning; saved images need no camera permission.

Already using version 1.1 or 1.2? Install 1.3 over it. If you still have 1.0, uninstall it first because the signing key changed.

About version 1.3 +

Version 1.3 adds web-link recognition without https://, clearer encrypted-message prompts, a gentle decoding-key highlight, and the updated privacy line. It includes camera scanning, PNG/JPG import, receiving shared images, and opening decoded web links.

Encryption uses AES-256-GCM. Use a long, unique key. Lost keys cannot be recovered. Share the key separately from the QR code; the recipient needs Vice QR and the matching key. Leave the key blank for an ordinary plain-text QR code.
